Anthracite

I was just at work today

short but full one could say

7:30 to just after 5

just a bee in the hive

2 investigations of the past

wanting a bit more of this day to last

feeling trapped by all the paper

deadlines close and begin to taper

numbers and report full of sorrow

never mind, there’ll be more tomorrow
