Rain

Posted in Thankful observations on Feb 27, 2013 by Anthracite

Passing the time with hyetology
fingers laced like a hair clip
it comes in from the ocean
on a massive unseen ship

Please my lover come quickly
soak me from your skies
drench me to my very bones
disguise my face that cries

Then its here upon my visage
caressing like a mother
starting its soothing ablution
As I wonder about my brother

Another 18

Another 18 died today
the grief of love is loud

And again the same incursion
agnosticism roaring in our ears

Our voices not to be heard
above the masters coin

R.I.P the Komi 18 – our brothers rest your souls.

The best 2 days – weekend.

A form of limbless terrestrial locomotion
like an incoming lazy tide

I move in and sit
a proud faineant today

Face carved into a stone
austere lines and curves

Don’t talk to me but I am back
chewing the rancid cud of the week

Days gone bye and politics learnt.

The arrogance of a few and the price taken in blood.

Of very good men who give to the many.

Come the vultures to suck marrow from their bones.

And there stands Reg fending off the ants

A man worth knowing

with a heart the leeches cant touch.

For a bloody good bloke from Comet.
